Earning Your Teaching Credential

By successfully completing the Master of Arts in Teaching with Teaching Credential program, you can be recommended for a California teaching credential in one of the following areas:

  • Multiple Subject (Elementary Education)
  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies

If your goal is to teach in another state, our student services team will provide support and direction to help you identify the most direct and efficient path to local certification:

  • Earn a California credential, which you can then transfer to another state through interstate reciprocity

OR

  • Complete the program and apply directly to your local state’s credential
