  • These estimates also do not include the cost of the USC Health Insurance Plan for Online Students, which is administered by United Healthcare Student Resources (UHCSR). This plan is optional for online students. More information about this plan is available at: USC Distance Learning Health Plan.
  • Admitted applicants are required to submit a $200 non-refundable deposit to confirm their enrollment is the term in which they applied. The deposit will be credited to tuition owed in the first term of enrollment.

USC offers several plans that assist students in paying their tuition. These include scholarships, loan forgiveness, financial aid, long-term financing options and prepayment of future tuition at the current rate of tuition. Please note that loan forgiveness and federal financial aid is available only to US citizens or eligible non-citizens.

FINANCING YOUR DEGREE

USC administers one of the largest financial aid programs in the United States. The Financial Aid Office provides applications and information about need-based financial aid, departmental grants, and long-term financing options. To be considered for financial aid you must be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen. International students who are not U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens are ineligible for certain types of financial aid, including federal and state grant and loan programs.

If you are a US citizen or eligible non-citizen, please click here to learn more about financial aid.

International Students at USC

USC enrolls more international students than any other university in the United States. More than 130 countries are represented in our graduate departments and professional schools, with the largest numbers of students coming from India, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and Thailand.

There are a variety of payment methods available to international students:

  • Private financing (contact lenders directly for citizenship requirements). Many private education lenders require a US based co-signer in order to obtain a loan.
  • Payment Plan: Click here to learn more about payment plan options.
  • Payment options include the following:
  • Wire transfers
  • International draft payments

International debit/credit cards: these frequently require a phone call for verbal confirmation of ID before the amount can be authorized. If you would like to use a debit / credit card drawn off an international bank please make sure your bank is aware of the pending charge. USC receives “not approved” on payments made using international debit / credit cards at a much higher frequency than on debit / credit cards drawn on U.S. banks.
