Testing information and websites are provided below in an effort to help you register for an available exam and date appropriate to you! If you have any questions, please call the Student Support office at 888.628.5041.

For Arizona:

AEPA Test Info

  • AEPA Test Date: (paper based) 7/7/12
  • Regular registration deadline: 6/8/12
  • Late registration deadline: 6/22/12
  • Emergency registration deadline: 6/29/12

For California:

CBEST Test Info

  • CBEST (paper based): 6/9/12
  • Late registration deadline: 5/29/12
  • Emergency registration deadline: 6/5/12
  • CBEST (computer based): as of 8/6/11, the computer-based CBEST has become available year-round by appointment only, Monday through Saturday (excluding holidays)
  • Registration can be done online – allow at least 3 days in advance for a certain test date

CSET Test Info

  • CSET (paper based): 7/14/12
  • Regular registration deadline: 6/15/12
  • Late registration deadline: 7/3/12
  • Emergency registration deadline: 7/10/12
  • Multiple subject students are permitted to take the computer based version of the CSET. However, students must wait 45 days before retaking the computer based test.

For Colorado:

PLACE Test Info

  • *Colorado students can take either the PLACE or the Praxis II exams
  • PLACE (paper based): 6/23/12
  • Regular registration deadline: 6/1/12
  • Emergency registration deadline 6/15/12

For Florida:

The FTCE and FELE are offered at flexible times and locations throughout the year – visit the FTCE/FELE site to find availability

For Georgia:

Georgia Test Dates

  • Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators (GACE)
  • Paper based: 6/16/12
  • Late registration deadline: 5/25/12
  • Emergency deadline of 5/25- 6/8 by computer and 5/30 – 6/8 by phone
  • Computer-based tests are available for the fields certain tests during specific testing windows on a first-come, first-served basis. Each window contains six days available for testing (Computer-Based Test Dates). April 2012 Testing Window: 4/5-18 (excluding 4/8 and 4/15)

For Illinois:

Illinois Test Dates

  • ICTS (Illinois Certification Testing System) – Basic, APT, Content-Area: June Test 7/7/12
  • Regular registration deadline: 5/25/12
  • Late registration deadline: 6/15/12
  • Emergency registration deadline:  6/15–7/2 via Internet,  6/18–7/2 via Phone
  • ICTS has a computer based testing option for select tests that is available year round by appointment, with test days Monday – Saturday (excluding holidays)

For Michigan:

Michigan Test Dates

  • Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) Basic and Subject area – Paper based: 7/14/12
  • Regular Registration deadline: 6/1/12
  • Late Registration deadline: 6/22/12
  • Emergency Registration deadline: 7/6/12
  • Computer-based MTTC tests are available during specific testing windows on a first-come, first-served basis. Each window contains six days available for testing and does not encompass ALL tests – May 2012: 5/17-19, 5/21-23 (Computer-Based Test Dates)

For Minnesota :

For New York:

New York Test Dates: Not all tests are available on all test dates; refer to Test Selection for availability.

  • LAST and ATS-W (Basic Skills Exams), CSTs (Content Specialty Tests) – Paper based: 7/14/12
  • Regular registration deadline: 6/8/12
  • Late registration deadline: 6/22/12
  • Emergency registration deadline: 6/22–7/10 via computer, 6/27–7/10 via phone
  • Computer-based testing is available Monday through Saturday (excluding holidays). There are no registration deadlines; however, you should plan to register as early as possible before your desired test date, as seating is limited. Score reports will be available on the NYSTCE Web site within 30 days after the test date.

  • Praxis I/PPST (paper based): 7/21/12 (Note: not all test centers are open all test dates)
  • Regular Registration deadline: 6/21/12

  • Emergency Registration deadline: 7/13/12
  • Praxis I/PPST (computer delivered): view website for seat availability and locations – can normally sign up for a test a week in advance
  • Praxis II (paper based): 7/21/12
  • Regular Registration deadline: 6/21/12
  • Extended Registration deadline: 6/28/12
  • Emergency Registration deadline: 7/13/12

For Washington:

Washington Test Dates

  • WEST-B and WEST-E: 7/21/12
  • Regular registration deadline: 6/15/12
  • Late registration deadline: 6/29/12
  • Emergency registration deadline: 7/12/12
  • WEST – E has a computer based testing option available for select tests and is available on a first come, first serve basis. The next test window for June is 6/14 – 6/16 & 6/18 – 6/20
