Understanding the Fundamentals of Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship

The purpose of this course is to equip students with practices that are associated with creative thinking and innovative outcomes. The course explores how to generate creative ideas using mindsets and practices exhibited by successful innovators. Students will have opportunities for practice, experimentation and feedback. The emphasis is on practical strategies that anyone can adopt, even those who don’t think of themselves as the least bit “creative,” “innovative” or “entrepreneurial.” The focus of this course on the origin of innovative ideas will provide a foundation for subsequent courses on implementation and organizational change.
