Students experience early integration of meaningful fieldwork in their courses from the start. For working professionals and current educators, fieldwork can be completed in their own classroom or organization. For aspiring teachers, fieldwork will take place through a placement in a classroom in their community. The field experience component of each program of study is unique.
USC Rossier brings students from all over the world together in a face-to-face learning environment. Students will develop relationships with a community of peers, faculty and alumni, participate in study sessions, social groups, online events and collaborative discussions, as well as create an online portfolio to showcase their evolving skills and experience.
“I now have a network of colleagues spanning the globe. The intensity required to successfully complete the program has bonded us beyond what I thought possible with online classrooms.”
USC Rossier is committed to providing you with the highest quality of education and support from the moment you contact us, all the way through graduation and beyond. USC Rossier students have access to the same support and resources available to students who attend on campus.
During the admission process, one of our dedicated Admission Counselors will be available to guide you through the application process, take you on a one-on-one technology tour of the online classroom and answer any questions you have about your program of interest.
Upon your admission to USC Rossier, you will be assigned an Academic Advisor who can meet with you one-on-one throughout your program and help you determine the best course of action for your education.
Once you enroll, our Student Support Team will work with you to provide any technical assistance and help you acclimate to our online learning community.
As a USC Rossier student, you will have access to USC library resources as well as a host of student services and career services. You will also have access to our speaker series presentations as well as networking events.
For master’s degree students, our Field Placement Team will find a school close to your home (if you are not currently teaching) where you will complete your fieldwork. MAT students also have access to guidance from our team regarding teacher certification.
When your program is complete, you will be invited to participate in the on-campus graduation ceremony at the University of Southern California.
As a graduate, you will join USC’s robust, global alumni network and have lifelong connections to the Trojan Family. Thanks to our unique USC Rossier Commitment, you will also be able to take advantage of professional support throughout your teaching career.
