Designed for working professionals, the Master of Education in Learning Design and Technology online (LDT online) program will help you gain the skills to design, manage and evaluate effective instructional programs. You will explore all aspects of blended learning and other techniques for success in traditional and nontraditional educational settings, including online learning, corporate training and performance assessment.

The LDT online program will prepare you for a wide variety of career paths
in the rapidly growing instructional design industry. Career paths include online instructional designer, corporate trainer, instructional technologist and curriculum designer.
The LDT online curriculum draws from research in learning and motivation, as well as knowledge of how to leverage technology to design face-to-face, technology-enabled, and blended learning experiences. Rather than focusing solely on the acquisition of technical skills, the curriculum emphasizes a holistic understanding of the design and management of learning environments. During the program, you will design a learning product for a real-world setting, that demonstrates effective application of theories and concepts.
The Master of Education in Learning Design and Technology online program requires a minimum of 30 units and can be completed in 21 months. The program is designed for working professionals with courses that take place online in the late afternoons, evenings or weekends. You will enroll in two or three courses per term.
Online Learning Experience
Classes are conducted live in a real-time virtual classroom environment. The live sessions are facilitated by faculty and include highly interactive, engaging and collaborative discussions. Prior to attending live sessions, you will complete assignments submitted through the learning management system.
