Masters Programs Overview

USC Rossier School of Education offers a wide range of graduate degree programs delivered online. These programs are designed for aspiring teachers, experienced educators and organizational leaders at various stages in their careers. Our programs combine research and practice to help students apply innovative teaching techniques in classrooms and learning environments around the world.

Online Degree Programs

The MAT online is for aspiring teachers who want to gain the skills and knowledge they need to become great educators. This program also provides students the opportunity to be recommended for a preliminary teaching credential.

The MAT–TESOL online is designed for educators who want to become English language teaching specialists at home or abroad.

This program prepares educators to make a difference in the lives of students as K–12 school counselors. Graduates of this program will also be eligible to sit for school counseling credential exams.

The program prepares students who want to start or advance careers in traditional or non-traditional settings in educational program design, online learning, corporate training, performance assessment, instructional design and evaluation, and the management of educational programs.

This program prepares professionals to lead efforts in admission, enrollment, financial aid, orientation, student retention and strategic enrollment planning at colleges, universities and private preparatory schools.

Certificate Programs

This credential program prepares educators to meet the needs of students with a wide range of mild to moderate disabilities. This credential is available as an addition to our graduate programs or as a stand-alone program for California credentialed teachers.

This is a certificate program for educators who wish to develop the skills and knowledge needed to meet the diverse needs of gifted and talented students. This certificate is available as an addition to our master’s programs.

This certificate allows educators to teach in either bilingual settings or in English-dominant settings with Spanish language learners. This authorization is available as an add-on to students in our MAT online with Teaching Credential program.
