Scholarships

Please find below a list of education-specific grants, fellowships and scholarships that USC Rossier Online students have used in the past. These options are not offered directly from the University of Southern California. We also encourage students to research other funding sources outside of this list.

Applegate / Jackson / Parks Future Teacher Scholarship Scholarship $1,000 This scholarship is awarded to graduate students in education.
Zeta Phi Beta Foundation Scholarship Program Scholarship Up to $2,500 This scholarship is awarded to female graduate students working on a master’s or doctoral degree or are enrolled in a post-doctoral study.
Zeta Phi Beta/Isabel M. Herson Scholarship in Education Scholarship $500 to $1,000 This scholarship is awarded to graduate- or undergraduate-level students enrolled in a full-time elementary or secondary education degree program.
Phi Delta Kappa/The Donald H. and Verna S. Duncan Fellowship Fellowship $1,000 This fellowship is awarded to members of Phi Delta Kappa pursuing a master’s, specialist or doctoral degree in education or are engaged in dissertation research.
Math for America Fellowship $10,000 per year This fellowship is awarded to individuals committed to teaching mathematics in public secondary schools in Berkeley, Boston, Los Angeles, New York City and Washington, D.C.
Union Plus Scholarship Scholarship $500 to $4,000 This scholarship is awarded to both current and retired members of participating unions, their spouses and their dependent children. At least one year of continuous union membership is required by the applicant, applicant’s spouse or parent.
James Madison Graduate Fellowships Fellowship $24,000 This fellowship is awarded to individuals who desire to become teachers of the American Constitution at the secondary school level.
KSTF Teaching Fellowships Fellowship Varies This fellowship is awarded to teachers who have worked for five years in math or science.
AFCEA STEM Scholarship Scholarship $5,000 This scholarship is awarded to students and professionals with academic backgrounds in the STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
Association of American Educators Scholarship $500 This scholarship is awarded to full-time educators who have not received a scholarship or grant from AAE in the previous three grant cycles (or 18 months). AAE members receive additional weight in the scoring rubric.
Central Scholarship Scholarship Up to $5,000 per year This scholarship is awarded to students from Maryland with a GPA above 2.0 and a family income below $90,000 a year, or below $66,000 a year for students pursuing career and technology training. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and planning to attend an accredited U.S. program in the upcoming academic year.
