New Year, New Bloggers
Please join us in welcoming our new MAT@USC student bloggers. Starting this week, our new bloggers will be posting regular updates about their experience being students in the MAT@USC.
Anissa Fay is a first-generation college graduate, with a BA in English-Creative Writing from the University of Southern California. She graduated from USC in May 2009. Anissa currently livse on the Central Coast of California in the San Luis Obispo, where she tutors students at all levels (from elementary through college). A member of the September 2009 Cohort of the MAT@USC, she is studying Single Subject English instruction.
Cathy Cassar lives in Guilford, Connecticut. After graduating from the University of Connecticut in 1993 with a BA in political science and French, she become a marketing copywriter for appare. Cathy is a mother of three (two girls, ten and eight; and one three-year-old boy) and is more eager than ever to get started teaching in New Haven, Connecticut.
Jennifer Bulgin joined the MAT@USC program in the Fall of 2009. She currently teaches third grade in Altadena, CA. When she is not working, grading papers, writing papers, or lesson planning, you can most likely find her sleeping, playing with her dog, catching up with friends, or reading a book (for pleasure!).
Melissa (Mel) Pomponio lives in Colorado and previously was a presentation editor position at the Rocky Mountain News in Denver, Colorado. When the Rocky ceased publication after falling victim to a poor economy and the downturn in newspaper readership, Mel chose to pursue something she’s equally passionate about: teaching.
